Ultra Sound Technitian

Ultrasound Technician – before discarding this career as being a lame one, think again! There is no doctor, no surgeon and no super-specialist today who doesn’t depend upon a reliable ultrasound technician’s support. The ultrasound technologist is a technologist within an increasing expansion in ultrasound equipment and procedures. Correct diagnosis of a number of diseases without resorting to invasive surgery depends on the ultrasound report. This makes the ultrasound technician job market a very lucrative one.

Job Description

In a nutshell, the job responsibilities of an ultrasound technician is to handle and maintain the ultrasound equipment and administer sonographic (based on harmless sound waves) tests to patients. They also prepare reports of probable diagnosis and maintain patient records. Ultrasound technicians are required in almost all hospitals. Even small clinics and nursing care facilities cannot do without them. Therefore, the demand for skilled and adept techs is on the increase. Once they find the right person, organizations do not shy from paying them well.

How Much Does An Ultrasound Technician Make?

Depending on whether one works at a general hospital or a multi-specialty clinic, at a private diagnostic laboratory or at a private clinic, on as average, an ultrasound technician may earn between $40,000 and $85,000 per year! That’s right…and you thought this was a lame profession!

Ultra Sound Procedures

Ultra sound is a medical procedure that works by using high-frequency sound waves to examine internal organs in a patient but mostly carried out for pregnant women. It scans female pelvic cavity and abdomen to form a picture of the fetus and placenta. Sonogram and ultrasound are the terms different form one another but commonly used interchangeably to refer to the same exam. It detects any malfunctioning, abnormality or defects related with the fetus. These are usually used in combination with other tests to confirm the diagnosis.

Why Ultra sound

It is highly important to get scans every three months during pregnancy. Since it is nearly impossible to observe the fetus position, condition and other factors inside womb of mother, the scan makes it clearer to examine in order to find out any abnormalities. The gynecologist is thus able to treat any complication prior to its severe damage. So it can safely be said, that ultra sound is a must during every pregnancy but under the supervision of an expert.

What is the procedure?

Ultrasound is performed by applying gel on abdomen. This works as a conductor for sound waves, allowing them to permeate inside. The expert then uses a device to produce sound waves into the uterus of the woman. These waves bounce off tissues and bones returning back to that device while generating black and white images of the fetus developing inside.

The types

Seven different ultra sound tests are taken. The basic process remains the same in all types. A brief description of each is given below:

Standard Ultrasound

It uses a device over the abdominal area to create two-dimensional (2-D) images of the fetus developing inside.

Advanced Ultra Sound

This test is similar to the standard one but it is carried out by using more equipment to target a problem that is suspected by expert doctor.

3-D Ultrasound

As the name suggests, it give three-dimensional images of the fetus in the womb. For that purpose, specially designed probes and software is taken help from to complete the process.

Dynamic 3 D Ultra sound

Also known as 4-D, it is more advanced and clearer than 2 or 3 D images. There are specially designed scanning machines for that. It is taken in the last stage of pregnancy to observe the face and movement of the baby before delivery.

Trans vaginal Scans

To generate images, probe transducers are used inside vagina. Usually it is taken in the pregnancy that is at earlier stage.

Echocardiography (Heart Ultrasound)

Fetal echocardiography uses ultrasound waves to evaluate anatomy and functioning of baby heart. It also helps assess any suspected congenital cardiac defects in the fetus, thus held really important in the medical procedures related to female reproduction. Once a defect has been diagnosed, relevant treatment is given with along with lifestyle modification and necessary preventions from certain medications, foods and activities.

Doppler Ultrasound

This procedure actually measures changes in the frequency of ultrasound waves when they bounce off moving objects. This imaging examines blood cells.

Ultra Sound Health

All matter vibrates at specific frequencies and this is well known fact in science and physics. At its root, all matter is simply a type of energy which is vibrating at specific frequencies which causes it to appear to be solid to us here in the third dimension. When particle physicists have broken down subatomic particles to the smallest particles using powerful atom smashers, the particles themselves disappear in a brilliant flash of energy and simply wink out of our universe altogether.

We’re all made of energy. From the stars and planets to every atom of our bodies, we are energy. Many ancient mystics have sensed and known this to be true for millennia. After years of meditation and internal training, they came to understand that the true nature of the universe is that all matter energy and ultimately, emptiness.

This is how we can use breathing along with these sounds and certain visualizations to help cleanse the body of impure energies. Cleansing the body of these negative energies can have a powerful regulating and healing effect on the system. By bringing all of the life force energies into a state of equilibrium and balance we can help to restore health and recover from many serious illnesses. When strong smooth chi flow is restored, symptoms will simply disappear resulting in the restoration of energy, vigor and health.

The Second Sound – Kidneys

The second sound were going to cover is the kidney sound. To make the kidney sound, take a deep breathe and purse the lips as though blowing out a candle at a distance. Breathe out and gentle make the sound “Woooooooooooooo”. Phonetically it sounds more like “Wuuuuuuuuuuuuu”. This will begin to purge the kidneys of excess fire chi, increasing the flow of its energy and the energy of the rest of the internal organs. After each exhalation, breathe in deeply and imagine a bright blue energy with gentleness coming into the kidneys, calming and healing them. Then begin again with the exhalation while making the “woooooo” sound. You can also increase the effectiveness of any of the sounds by imagining a black smoke coming out from the organ and exiting along with the breath. This is another way that visualization can amplify the effects of breathing techniques.

Each of these sounds has a simple set of physical movements associated with it. These movements also help to increase the effectiveness of the sounds themselves. Even doing the sounds alone without the exercise will go a long way to begin to purge, purify and detoxify the organs very effectively. This is something that many can actually feel working even on the first try.

The Healing Sound

Sounds can have a powerful effect on our minds, emotions and moods and as we’ll see in this article, sound can be used to directly cleanse, purge and heal the body. Many people are already familiar with the fact that sounds such as music, a pleasant voice or sounds of nature can have a soothing effect on mind and body.

Doctors have also come to see how listening to such relaxing sounds can help people lower their blood pressure, calm the mind, help relieve depression and have many other healing effects on mind and body. Sounds are powerful vibrational energies that can be used to heal or even destroy. Just as ultra sound can be used to peer inside of a woman’s body to check on her baby or be used to disintegrate kidney or gall stones deep inside the organs.

This article is the second in this series on “Six Sounds to Heal and Cure”. In this article we’re going to cover the second of these six healing sounds, the kidney sound.

In the first article we covered how botanist Robert Brown discovered vibrational energies that exist in nature through the observation of minute particles within the vacuoles of the pollen grains suspended in water.

Einstein later confirmed the existence of these energies by predicting that the random motions of molecules in a liquid impacting on larger suspended particles would result in irregular, random motions of the particles, which could be directly observed under a microscope. The predicted motion corresponded precisely with the puzzling Brownian motion discovered by Botanist Robert Brown. From this motion Einstein accurately determined the dimensions of the hypothetical molecules which were theorized to exist but as yet unproven.

We then covered that when a person is sick, no matter what language a person spoke, they always made the same type of moaning or whimpering sounds of distress. This is due to the illness always being diagnosed to that same organ regardless of what disease they actually had. From this observational data gathered over the centuries they concluded that these vibrational sounds are the body attempting to purge itself of the excess fire chi and impurities via the modalities of breath and sound.

How to become Ultra Sound Technitian

How Can You Become And Ultrasound Techie?

Once you have decided to go into this profession, you should enroll for a certificate course or a degree with an online or regular college. The course must be accredited by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Aspirants will study physics, physiology, anatomy, medical ethics and proper patient care during the course.
